Guangdong PO-TRY, a leader in digital printing solutions, has collaborated with the Guangdong Textile Engineering Society to contribute to the development of the Guangdong Textile Group Standard T/GTES5-2024 “Textile Digital Printing Color Card High Temperature Dispersion Process.” This initiative aims to address the color challenges in digital printing by setting a reference standard for the industry.
Digital printing has grown rapidly due to its environmental benefits, such as reduced water usage and quick turnaround times. However, color inconsistency has been a persistent issue, especially when the printer’s color gamut doesn’t match the designer’s vision. The lack of standardized color systems has made color reproduction difficult, creating the need for a unified reference.
PO-TRY’s active involvement in creating this standard marks a significant step in addressing color management challenges in the industry. PO-TRY’s General Manager, Weng Changfu, played a key role in the compilation process.
At the 2024 Lingnan Science Forum in Guangzhou, the Guangdong Provincial Digital Printing Color Group Standard was officially released, with the Guangdong Provincial Digital Printing Color Research Center recognized. During his keynote speech, Weng emphasized the critical role that standardized color systems play in the high-quality development of digital printing.
The new standard provides much-needed guidance for color control, ensuring better consistency in color reproduction.
